TIMCO To Support To U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps

Lake City Operations to Provide Donation For Uniforms to Newly Formed Unit

Lake City, Florida – July 2nd, 2012… The Lake City MRO Operations Group of leading aircraft care and interiors provider TIMCO has announced today that it will be supporting the U.S. Naval Sea Corps by providing funds for Cadet uniforms for members of the newly formed Liberty Division in North Central Florida.

According to Mark Snook, General Manager of TIMCO’s Lake City MRO Operation, “We are exceptionally proud to play a part in helping the newest member of this nationally recognized, outstanding organization for our youth. The U.S. Navel Sea Cadet Corps mission is to foster the type of leadership and discipline that will help its members in their future endeavors.” Mr. Snook will be attending a special awards banquet tonight and will be addressing the group.

The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, for Americans ages 13 to 17, has designed an acclaimed program geared to give young people the chance to experience life in a hands-on, real-world environment.  The mission of the group is to cultivate its members’ self-esteem and provide them with the tools they need to meet even the toughest challenges and succeed. Through innovative approaches, the unit seeks to encourage leadership, confidence, self-discipline, teamwork, and enhance physical fitness.

Located in the north-central region of Florida about 60 miles west of Jacksonville, TIMCO - Lake City has over 600,000 square feet of covered hangar space and over 1.3 million square feet of ramp area.  It has a long and proud history of supporting the MRO requirements of today’s military aircraft requirements.
