HAECO Americas Press Release
HAECO Americas Announces Senior Leadership Transition
HAECO Americas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the HAECO Group, announced today that Chief Executive Officer and Group Director Cabin Solutions Kevin Carter will be resigning his position effective 31st May 2016, and Richard Kendall, current Deputy Chief Executive Officer HAECO Americas, will take his place at that time. Mr. Carter has agreed to continue in a non-executive, senior advisory role to the company through 30th November 2016, to ensure a smooth transition.
Mr. Carter has been CEO of HAECO Americas (formerly TIMCO Aviation Services) since 2008 and was also appointed Group Director Cabin Solutions, the HAECO Group’s aircraft interiors business, in 2015. Previously, he had served as TIMCO’s Chief Financial Officer from 2005 to 2008. During his time with the company, he helped manage a significant financial turn-around and led the launch of a growing aircraft interiors division.
Mr. Kendall was appointed Deputy CEO of HAECO Americas in 2015, and has already been handling many leadership responsibilities for the company’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (“MRO”) and aircraft interiors business. Previously, he was Director & General Manager of Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (“HAESL”), a sister company in the HAECO Group specializing in aircraft engine MRO. Prior to that appointment, Mr. Kendall held other management positions within the Swire Group, the parent company of HAECO.
Commenting on the changes, HAECO Group CEO Augustus Tang said: “We are sad to see Kevin leave and have appreciated his many achievements. HAECO Americas is regarded by its customers and partners as a market leader in each of the sectors in which it competes – a position attained through no small effort on Kevin’s part. I wish him success in his future endeavors. I am confident that, under Richard’s experienced leadership, HAECO Americas will continue to grow from strength to strength. Kevin’s agreement to stay onboard in an advisory role will also help assure a smooth transition as we continue to focus on growing aircraft support for our customer base worldwide.”
